CHALLENGE

Molecular Forecaster inc. is a boutique, software-as-a-service contract research organization (CRO) that offers a proprietary software platform for drug discovery, metabolism prediction, combinational chemistry and asymmetric catalyst design. Spun out of McGill University as a startup in 2010, MFI needed larger premises to accommodate its growing client research and staff requirements. ​
Because they had no experience in commercial real estate they reached out to the Lab Occupier team in Toronto which is a contract real estate organization (CREO) for companies in the life sciences sector.​

SOLUTION​

The personal experience of the Lab Occupier team in commercial real estate markets across the country enabled us to quickly identify and call upon the best local real estate partner who had the appropriate scope and depth of knowledge to properly assistant on this requirement. A report identifying available downtown opportunities was prepared by the Lab Occupier team, a short list of sites was toured and an offer to lease was negotiated.​

RESULTS

Molecular Forecaster was able to lease A-class office space in the desired location near McGill University at competitive market rates.
